Volunteer Opportunities

Coffee Hour Sign Up

Please help us keep our flock fed this fall!  Use this link: http://signup.com/go/bgXZXyl to pick a Sunday (or two!) to bring something delicious to share with our congregation after both the 8 am and 10 am services.  Healthy options are always welcome. Share apples from your apple picking adventures; make a crudite with the vegetables from your garden or pick up your favorite pastry on your weekly trip to the grocery store.  All contributions are greatly appreciated.  Questions? Ushers

Ushers at St. John’s provide a ministry of hospitality and assistance to all worshippers, giving extra attention and help to visitors or those with special needs. Hospitality is paramount in our Christian faith, where to welcome strangers and regulars alike is akin to welcoming Jesus himself into our midst. Duties include distributing worship bulletins to those entering the church, collecting the offering, and guiding worshippers to communion. We have both adult ushers and junior ushers (young parishioners in grades 4 -12). Please click on the link below to sign up for the Sunday of your choosing.

Laundry Love

Laundry Love is a national organization that partners with others around the country to help people do their laundry.  Laundry Love allows individuals and families to redirect their money toward food, medical, gas or transportation costs as well as school supplies and other necessities.

St John’s is sponsoring a local Laundry Love partnership with SuperWash-Nantasket, Quincy Family Resource Center and Wellspring Multi-Service Center. Volunteers from St. John’s will be on hand at the SuperWash laundromat to greet people, facilitate payment for the machines and distribute cleaning materials.
