Financial Profile

St. John’s is blessed with a strong financial position, thanks to the generosity of our parishioners and the leadership of our Stewardship and Finance committees. We invite you to view our Annual Report which includes a more detailed look at the church financials.

At our Annual Meeting on Jan. 29, 2023, our Finance Committee and Vestry presented a balanced operating budget for 2023 of $870,000 in support and expenses. Giving is budgeted to be about the same as 2022 at $581,000, but down 6% from 2020 levels. Total cash balances at the end of 2022 were $523,000 including restricted balances.

Our Endowment

The endowment at the end of 2022 had a total market value of $1.8 million, down 18% from a year earlier due to the challenging market environment. Total draw from the endowment to support operations in 2023 is budgeted to be $76,324, equal to 4% of trailing endowment balances.
