Our Next Rector
St. John’s is looking for a rector who embodies God’s love, strengthening us and our community to love God and to serve others. Our top priorities are a rector who delivers well-developed sermons that connect the Lectionary readings to our daily lives, and who is highly effective at providing pastoral care. While “pastoral care” means different things to different people, we are looking for someone who enjoys cultivating interpersonal relationships and fostering belonging within the church—from youth to seniors, from newcomers to life-long parishioners. Outside the church, we are looking for someone who builds bridges to welcome those beyond our walls. Our rector will prioritize relevant youth formation and ministry. We are seeking someone who will also be an effective manager and an organized liturgical leader who works collaboratively with staff and strong lay leadership.
