We are very excited to announce our guest preacher for Holy Week and Easter—the Rev. Kristina Andréasson from St. John’s Wood Parish in Central London.
This weekend, we begin the final two weeks of Lent. These final weeks are often called “Passiontide,” as we participate in a series of prayers and meditations which lead to our remembering deeply Jesus’s passion, death and resurrection.
This week we are back to business as usual, learning about (i) Jesus’ journey into the wilderness in the Godly Play classrooms and (ii) the events of Holy Week in the Upper Elementary classroom.
In this season of Lent, we will spend the coming weeks learning about the days leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection. It is a time of prayer, serving others, and drawing closer to God.
This week we will have a one-room school house led by Ms. Margaret. The lesson will focus on kindness and not judging a book by its cover. Please gather in the Pre-K room!
